At the request of Trainer Nosher Cama, AXLROD was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 07.30 p.m. on 31/08/2023 at the stables and was found to have colic, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
On the arrival at the start, at the request of Jockey P. Trevor, THE GODFATHER was examined by the Club’s Sr. V. O. who certified him fit to race.
 
Passing the 300 metres, CHENEVIX TRENCH (Neeraj Rawal) was held up for room, thereafter in the final stages of the race CHENEVIX TRENCH shifted out under urgings and went across KOENIG (K. Nazil) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning, Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
 
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards THE GODFATHER was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the Equine Hospital and was diagnosed to have EIPH (Gr.III). The colt is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race. 
 
After the race, THE GODFATHER was observed to have lost its left fore shoe.
