Racing Incidents

On arrival at the starting gate, TOOFAN (Amyn Merchant) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was certified fit to race.
 
ANOUSHKA (S. Saqlain, dr.1) refused to stall despite substantial efforts. As Such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starters order. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
 
FARAHNOUSH (S. Mosin, dr.2) planted in the stall taking no practical part in the race. In view of the same and a similar behavior of the mare in her previous starts, Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to show his charge in two mock races to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
 
Jockey Shrikant Kamble (ZACAPA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 1st offence during the current Pune Meeting 2023, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
 
After the race, SILVER STEPS was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, ZACAPA was trotted and found to be sound.
