Racing Incidents
Explanation of Jockey R. Laxmikanth (GOING PLACES) that his mount trailed the field distance behind throughout the race inspite of his efforts, noted. Trainer L.V.R. Deshmukh deputizing on behalf of Trainer A. Vatsalya was advised to ensure that his charge was capable of a better performance before next acceptance. Jockey A. Imran Khan (ELBRUS) severely cautioned for shifting in at about 200 metres taking the ground of SANQUSAR (S.A. DE SOUSA). Jockey J. H. Christopher (RUBEN STEIN) cautioned for shifting in, in the final stages of the race taking the ground of AL AWAL (CH. K. CHARY). SANQUSAR (S.A. DE SOUSA) lost his footing and then veered out as the start was effected in the process losing 2 to 3 lengths and thereafter did not raise a proper gallop.
