Explanation of Jockey P.S. Chouhan (ALWAYS BULLISH) that his mount held the bit on the left and veered out 100 metres after the start onto the monsoon track inspite of his efforts and he had great difficulty in bringing him back to race on an even keel from about the 800 metres and thereafter the gelding did not raise a fluent gallop in the straight.  Trainer D. Netto whilst confirming the Jockeys statement added that the gelding has the tendency of getting keen and bolts away when shown day light and other than that he had no plausible explanation to offer.  Both the Jockeys and Trainers explanations were noted.  Trainer D. Netto was however advised to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next acceptance.

Explanation of Jockey B. Sreekanth (SNOW BIRD) that his instructions were to position his mount 4^th or 5^th until entering the straight as such he did not not ride out his mount vigorously in the initial stages of the race was confirmed by Trainer K. Satheesh and  noted for future reference.
