Consequent to Jockey Neeraj Rawal having been declared medically unfit to ride due to fall at RWITC previous day and no Jockey being available to ride, at the request of Trainer M. Srinivas Reddy, GEORGE CROSS has been permitted to be withdrawn.
 
FABULOUS JEWEL (App. Md. Sameeruddin) was reluctant to be stalled inspite of several attempts, as such the filly was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under starters orders, SSC revoked.
 
Explanation of Jockey P. Trevor (AWESOME APPROACH) in the presence of Trainer R.H. Sequeira that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight but his mount was slow into stride in the initial stages of the race and thereafter when asked for an effort in the straight, the filly did not raise a winning gallop inspite of his best efforts.  Trainer while confirming the above, added that he too was baffled with the running of his charge and has got no plausible explanation to offer with regard to his charges dismal performance.  Both the Jockeys and Trainers explanations were noted for future reference.
