Racing Incidents

ICON GREY (Fergus Sweeney) jumped out slowly losing about 1 or 2 lengths.
 
SURPRISE GIFT (Nakhat Singh) jumped out slowly losing about 2 or 3 lengths.
 
MEKA'S (Arshad Alam) jumped out awkwardly on to DUMBLEDORE (N. Rawal) inspite of the Jockeys efforts.  Trainer L.D’ Silva was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race.
 
Explanation of Jockey P. Ajeeth Kumar (KINGINTHENORTH) that his mount suddenly stumbled at about the 400 mtrs resulting in getting unbalanced in the saddle and dislodged from the mount.  The Jockey was given immediate medical aid, escaped unhurt and was declared medically unfit to ride for the remaining races of the day. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the colt developed swelling over left fore shoulder due to complete closed fracture of humerus, as such the colt was euthanized on humanitarian grounds.
 
Due to the above fall, the running of YOGASTHA (App. B.R. Kumar) who was racing directly behind got hampered and thereafter trailed the field and finished the course distance behind.
 
Explanation of Jockey Kuldeep Singh (LAZER BEAM) that his mount was trying to run out in the straight more so under pressure was noted.  Trainer Laxman Singh was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race.
 
MEKA'S (Arshad Alam) returned lame on right fore due to shoulder sprain.
