Consequent to Jockey P. Ajeeth Kumar having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey Deepak Singh to be substituted on IKIGAI.
 
Jockey Deepak Singh (IKIGAI) was cautioned for shifting in at about the 1000 mtrs in the process taking the ground of ROYAL GREEN (Khurshad Alam).
 
Explanation of Jockey Arshad Alam (MARINA DEL REY) that his instructions were to sit close 3rd or 4th and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the filly did not raise a winning gallop inspite of his best efforts, noted.
 
Explanation of Jockey Kunal Bunde (RUBY’S GIFT) in the presence of Trainer R.H. Sequeira, deputizing for Trainer K.S.V. Prasad Raju that his mount was hanging in under the pressure and in order to control, he lost his balance, bumped his saddle, as such he could not ride out his mount to complete advantage in the final 50 mtrs of the race was not accepted and the Jockey was fined Rs. 5000/- for inept handing of his charge in the final stages of the race.
 
ROYAL GREEN (Khurshad Alam) trailed the field throughout the race. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the filly sustained cut injury over left fore. However, the filly was trotting sound after the race.
