Racing Incidents

Permission has been granted to Trainer D. Netto to saddle TOP CONTENDER (Rafique Sk) on behalf of Trainer S.A. Shehzad Abbas at both the Trainers' risk and liability.
 
Apps Gaurav Singh (JOY OF GIVING) and Afroz Khan (PALTINUM CLAASZ) were fined Rs. 1000/- each for shifting out and in respectively soon after the start in the process causing interference to SNOW CASTLE (C. Umesh) racing in between.
 
Explanation of Jockey C. Umesh (SNOW CASTLE) that due to interference received at the start, he had to check his mount and drop back and thereafter his mount did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race inspite of his best efforts was noted. However, Jockey was cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts for greater part of the race. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Jockey Akshay Kumar (WITHROSEMAKEUP) reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight more so under pressure inspite of his best efforts,. Trainer N. Ravinder Singh was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race.
 
App. C.P. Bopanna (COMPOSURE) was cautioned for tender handling of his mount in the straight.
 
Trainer S. Sreekant was questioned with regard to improved performance of his charge HUMAN TOUCH (App. Rohit Kumar) winner of this race, who finished off board in his previous outing to which the Trainer stated that his charge in the previous race, ran in 1600 mtrs and was well up with the field upto final 300 mtrs and thereafter dropped back, as such he opted to run his charge in 1100mtrs. The 500 mtrs less to travel and also 3 1/2 kgs allowance claiming Jockey in the saddle has been to his charges advantage and went on to win the race. The Trainer further stated that he had not fancied his charge and was available at longer odds. The Trainer's explanation was noted and he was however, cautioned to ensure that his charge races more consistently in future, failing which he will be liable for disciplinary action as deemed fit,.
