Racing Incidents

An objection lodged by Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar (DANDY MAN) placed 5th by the Judge against VIJAY'S EMPIRE (Ajit Singh) winner that “he shifted in and out on more than three occasions in the straight, 1st he shifted in when my mount was full of running, when I tried to shift out and give clear run, he again shifted out twice, due  to which I have to check my mount and got unbalanced on the mount, thereby I had lost a certain place” was overruled by the Stewards and the Judges placing remained unchanged.

Jockey Mukesh Kumar (GEORGE CROSS) was cautioned for shifting in at about 1000 metres forcing in N R I HEIGHTS (Koushik) who in turn shifted in taking the ground of SEA CASTLE (Akshay Kumar).

GEORGE CROSS (Mukesh Kumar) was observed to have sustained cut injury over right hind. However the gelding was trotting sound after the race.

The Stewards of the Club suspended Jockey Ajit Singh from riding in races w.e.f. 9th January to 13th January 2020 both days inclusive for careless riding in that “after approaching 200 metres he shifted out causing  severe interference to DANDY MAN (A.Ashhad Asbar) racing on his outside”.

The Jockey is however permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension.
