Consequent to Jockey A A Vikrant having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey Ajit Singh to be substituted on STAR RACER.
 
Explanation of Jockey Ajit Singh (STAR RACER) that due to fast initial pace, he could not position his mount well up with the field in the initial stages of the race and in the straight he did his best. Trainer S. Sreekent while confirming the above stated that his charge came up in the handicap and this being a sprint race, his charge could not match strides with the better horses in the field, as such the poor performance was noted for future reference. The Jockey was however, severely reprimanded for failing to ride out his mount past the post.
 
Jockey B R Kumar (MIND READER) was severely reprimanded for losing his position in the initial stages of the race for no apparent reason.
 
Explanation of Jockey Kiran Naidu (BLAZING JUPITER) that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop in the final 200 mtrs as such he could not ride out his mount to complete advantage. The Jockey was however cautioned for bumping on his charge on more than one occasion in the final stages of the race.
