ALINA (Khurshad Alam) was denied a clear run soon after the start due to crowding of runners racing in front.

Explanation of App. Surya Prakash (ACROBAT) that his mount threw his head up as the start was affected thereby losing about 2 or 3 lengths forcing him to travel behind the field in the initial stages of the race and thereafter he did his best in the straight was noted. The App. was however, cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts in the initial stages of the race to be well up with the field.

Explanation of Jockey Kiran Naidu (ONCE I COME) that his mount did not show any initial speed as such he was unable to position his mount as instructed in the initial stages of the race and in the straight he did his best was not accepted and the Jockey was severely reprimanded for failing to position his mount well up with the field in the initial stages of the race.

Explanation of Jockey A A Vikrant (ORIN SWIFT) that his instructions were to position his mount 3rd/4th, which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter his mount suddenly started dropping back from about the 400 mtrs and trailed the field inspite of his best efforts, noted. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that though gelding has a sharp molars on both sides and was trotting sound after the race.

Explanation of Jockey Nakhat Singh (STAR MEDAL) that his instructions were to go to front and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering into straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the gelding shortened the strides and dropped back in the final 200 mtrs inspite of his best efforts was not accepted and the Jockey was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/- for chasing the front runner in the initial stages of the race in the process taking long lead thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage in the final stages of the race.
