Racing Incidents

Consequent to Jockey Suraj Narredu having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey B R Kumar to be substituted on BEDFORD.

TOP IN CLASS (Akshay Kumar) jumped out slowly losing about 2 or 3 lengths.

Explanation of Jockey Uday Kiran P (COSTELLO) that his mount jumped out awkwardly due to which he lost his right stirrup iron which he could regain after travelling a few strides as such he could not ride out his mount to complete advantage in the initial stages of the race and in the straight his mount did not raise a fluent gallop inspite of his best efforts, noted.

Explanation of Jockey P. Ajeeth Kumar (DRD) that his instructions were to sit 4th or 5th, tuck in which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, his mount did not raise a fluent gallop in the straight, noted. The Jockey was however, cautioned for shifting in 100 mtrs after the race when he was not sufficiently clear from the runners racing on his inside.
