Racing Incidents

App. Santosh Raj N R (LUCKY NINE) was cautioned for shifting in soon after the start in the process forcing in SPLENDOUR ON GRASS (Suraj Narredu).
 
HEMPING VAZRA (App. Afroz Khan) stumbled 50 mtrs after the start for no apparent reason.
 
DECOY (A A Vikrant) and STUNNING ART (Dhanu S Deora) jumped out slowly losing about 1 or 2 lengths each.
 
Explanation of Jockey Suraj Narredu (SPLENDOUR ON GRASS) that his mount was keen and in trying to control, he accidentally clipped ENABLING (Kiran Naidu) racing in front at about the 900 mtrs and stumbled and due to this he dropped back. As this confirmed our observation, no action beyond noting the same was taken. The Jockey was however cautioned to be more careful in future.
 
Explanation of Jockey Kiran Naidu (ENABLING) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, his mount did not show any turn of foot from about 300 mtrs inspite of his best efforts was confirmed by Trainer R H Sequeira was noted for future reference. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the filly sustained clipped injury over left hind. However, the filly was trotting sound after the race.
