Explanation of Jockey Suraj Narredu (MORNING MIST) in the presence of Trainer R H Sequeira that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race inpsite of his best efforts, as such he was unable to ride out his mount  to complete advantage was noted for future reference. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the colt was trotting sound after the race. However,  Jockey Suraj Narredu was fined Rs.3,000/- for failing to ride out his mount past the post though on a beaten horse.

Explanation of Jockey S. Saqlain (CLARE) in the presence of Trainer D. Netto that his mount did not hold the bit in the initial stages of the race and also tried to run out as such he was unable to ride out his mount to complete advantage in the process lost considerable ground at the start and gained ground only in the straight inspite of his best effort,  was not accepted and the Jockey & Trainer were informed that an enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of the above horse in this race.
