Racing Incidents

Explanation of Jockey Akshay Kumar (SOLOIST) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners which he tried to follow until entering into straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, his mount dropped back from about 200 mtrs and finished course at the rear end of the field inspite of his best efforts. Trainer R H Sequeira while confirming the above added that he too was baffled with the running of his charge and he has no plausible explanation to offer with regard to the dismal performance of his charge, noted. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the mare was trotting sound after the race. The Trainer was however, fined Rs. 5,000/- for dismal performance of his charge.

Explanation of App. Abhay Singh (WATCH MY STRIDE) that his instructions were to sit 3rd/4th, but his mount did not show any initial speed as such he was unable to position his mount as instructed and his mount gradually gained ground in the straight inspite of best efforts, noted.

SOLOIST (Akshay Kumar) unplaced in this race is sampled.
