Explanation of Jockey Suraj Narredu (AUSTRALIA) in the presence of Trainer Laxman Singh that his instructions were to sit close with front runners which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, his mount did not show any turn of foot in the straight inspite of his best efforts, noted. Subsequent Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed to have sustained bruise injury over left eye. Though the gelding was trotting sound but had a sharp molars on both sides. Trainer Laxmain Singh was fined Rs.2000/- for negligence in discharging his duties in presenting of his charge for a race.
