Racing Incidents

Explanation of Jockey P. Ajeeth Kumar (MUASER) that his mount held the bit and tried to run out throughout the race due to which he could not ride out his mount on an even keel noted. Trainer A. Vatsalya was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the mare sustained bruised injury over left hind inside fetlock. However, the mare was trotting sound after the race.
 
Explanation of App. Md. Ekram Alam (CANTERBURY) that his instructions were to go to front which he tried to follow, but as his mount was keen, took a lead of about 4 to 5 lengths and in the straight when asked for an effort, his mount shortened the strides and dropped back from about the 300 mtrs inspite of his best efforts, was confirmed by Trainer L D Silva was noted for future reference.
 
The Veterinary examination of CANTERBURY (Md. Ekram Alam) after the race revealed that though the colt was trotting sound but had sharp molars on both sides. Trainer L D Silva was fined a sum of Rs. 1000/- for negligence in discharging his duties in present of his charge for a race.
 
FOREVER BOND (P. Trevor) winner of the race is sampled.
