Racing Incidents

Consequent to Jockey Nakhat Singh having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards of the Club permitted Jockey R S Jodha to be substituted on LONDON BELL.

Explanation of Jockey Mukesh Kumar (HURRICANE BAY) that his instructions were to position his mount 4th/5th which he tried to follow in the initial stages of the race and in the straight he did his best was not accepted and the Jockey was severely cautioned for tender handling of his mount in the initial stages of the race.

FLYING HOOVES (App, Ajay Kumar) dropped back from about the 800 mtrs finishing the course distance behind.  Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that though the gelding was trotting sound but had sharp molars on both sides.  Trainer K S V Prasad Raju was fined a sum of Rs. 1000/- for negligence in discharging his duties in presenting of his charge in a race where the gelding ran with sharp molars with both sides.
