Explanation of Jockey Surya Prakash (KALKI) in the presence of Trainer Bharat Singh that his instructions were go to front and take 1 1/2 length lead but as his mount was keen in the initial stages of the race, he was forced to take long lead inspite of his best efforts and thereafter when asked for an effort his mount did not raise a winning gallop in the final 200 mtrs inspite of his best efforts. The Trainer while confirming the above added that he too was baffled with the running of his charge and opined that the long lead taken by the Jockey in the initial stages of the race has been to his charges disadvantage in the final 200 mtrs, noted.  The Jockey was however, fined a sum of Rs.5,000/- for failing to exercise greater control over his mount in the initial stages of the race i.e. taking long lead in the initial stages of the race.
