Racing Incidents
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards enquiry was held in this race. The reason being, at about 150 meters, WHISKEY BANDIT (P.S.Chouhan, placed 3rd) shifted in and caused interference to TOMMY CARMICHAEL (Daniel Grant, placed 4th) who was unbalanced and checked. The Stewards interviewed the Jockeys concerned and considering the opinion of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own observation of the race, resolved to maintain the order of placing, as declared by the Judge. WHISKEY BANDIT (P.S.Chouhan) was observed to run erratic under use of the whip in the straight. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt. Jockey Daniel M. Grant (TOMMY CARMICHAEL) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
