Racing Incidents
MICKEY MANTLE (Dashrath Singh) jumped out slowly, losing a distance at the start. Considering this and the colt’s behavior during the previous start, Trainer Zadmal Singh has been asked to give the colt more gate practice and to show him in a Mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race. Passing 400 metres, MASTER CRAFT (Riyaz Shaikh) hung out and ATHENA (C.Rajendra) hung-in in the straight. Due to this movement of the horses, DANCE MAESTRO (T.S.Jodha) was observed to have kept an erratic course in an endeavour to find an opening. Trainers Asad Siddiqui and P. Shroff have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charges before next accepting to race them. Further, it was observed that both the Jockeys, Riyaz Shaikh and C Rajendra, had made insufficient effort to control the movement of their respective mounts, as such both the jockeys have been cautioned for the same.
