Racing Incidents
An objection was lodged by Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of MASEEHA (placed 2nd) against Jockey M.Fenton, the rider of HIGHLAND CROWN (placed 1st) for squeezing him on the railings in the last 400 metres, bumping his horse three to four times, taking his ground and not allowing his horse to gallop freely and unbalancing his horse after bumping in the last 200 metres, which cost him a certain race. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned as also Mr.Zadmal Singh, Trainer of MASEEHA, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to uphold the objection and to revise the order of placing of the above race as under :-
