AURORA AUSTRALIS (Amyn Merchant) was observed to have jumped out slow and thereafter did not raise an effective gallop for the first 100 metres thereby trailing the field. In view of this behavior, Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to take remedial measures and show the mare in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting with her to race.
 
Soon after the start, HODSON’S HORSE (App. Malam Singh) shifted in and went on to ADONIJAH (D. A. Naik) who had to be steadied. Thereafter, SULLIVAN (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in under urgings and tightened ADONIJAH, forcing the latter to be checked and drop back. After questioning, App. A. S. Peter has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
 
From the 400 metres, App. Malam Singh (HODSON’S HORSE) was observed to have maintained an erratic course and approaching 300 metres he shifted out due to which MY PRECIOUS (App.Bhawani Singh) shied outwards on to GOLD MEDALIST (A. Sandesh), who in turn shifted out and made contact with STRONG STORM (P. Trevor). It was also observed that App.Malam Singh did not maintain proper balance whilst riding out due to which the horse kept an erratic course. After questioning, App. Malam Singh has been referred to the Apprentice Jockeys Instructor to improve his riding skill.
 
After the race, BAKHTAWAR was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, STRONG STORM was trotted and found to be sound.
