Racing Incidents

At the start, WORDSMITH (P. Trevor, dr.9) jumped and veered outwards.
 
At the start REGAL COMMAND (Bhawani Singh dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths.
 
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards a Stewards enquiry was held in this race. The reason being, passing the 1500 metres WALL STREET (Suraj Narredu) had stumbled dislodging its rider due to which LETO (Vishal N. Bunde) racing on its haunches had to be checked.
 
On being questioned by the Stewards of the Club Jockey Suraj Narredu stated that the pace had slowed down at that juncture as a result the field was tightened thereby his mount was cramped for room and stumbled due to which he was dislodged. Hence, considering the submissions made by Jockey Suraj Narredu in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and having viewed the replay of the race the Stewards of the Club relying on their own judgment decided to maintain the order of placing as declared by the judge.
 
After the race, LETO was observed to have a cut injury on right fore pastern and WILD THING was trotted and found to be sound.
