At the start, LETO (S. Saqlain, dr.4) veered out and had to be steadied.

Approaching the 600 metres, SIERRA DELA PLATA (Neeraj Rawal) was observed to have stumbled for no apparent reason. However, when questioned the Jockey Neeraj Rawal he felt that he got cramped for room.

Approaching the 200 metres, SANDMAN (Vishal N. Bunde) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing SAN SALVATORE (K. Nazil) racing along the rails causing the latter to be checked. After the race on questioning Jockey Vishal N. Bunde stated that his mount was hanging-in in the straight despite his efforts. As the gelding had behaved in a similar manner before, the Stipendiary Stewards wish to interview Trainer Nirad Karanjawala before deciding if the gelding needs to be shown in a mock race.

After the race, App. Haridas Gore (NELSON RIVER) reported that his mount was inclined outwards from the 1400 metres up to the 1200 metres, despite his efforts. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to look into the same and take corrective measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, Sr. V.O. reported that Tr. Nirad Karanjawala informed Veterinary officer that SANDMAN coughed in the stables in the morning. In view of the same endoscopy was performed on gelding at 9.50 a.m. on 19th February 2023 and after the race no abnormalities were found.
