Racing Incidents

WILD SPIRIT (A. K. Aniket, dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at the morning starting trails, before next accepting to race.
 
At the start, BETWEEN FRIENDS (App. Hardias Gore, dr.6) jumped inwards and went across SPECULATOR (Bhawani Singh, dr.5) who was marginally slow to begin and made contact with MALAKHI (A. Sandesh, dr.4).
 
Passing the 700 metres, DOC MARTIN (S. Zervan) leaned outwards at the same time BOMBER (Dashrath Singh) shifted in thereby tightening SHADOWS (Vishal N. Bunde) racing between them causing the latter to check and drop back due to which BETWEEN FRIENDS (App. Haridas Gore) racing on its haunches had to check and change course thereby inconveniencing SPECULATOR (Bhawani Singh). After questioning, Jockeys S. Zervan and Dashrath Singh have been fined Rs.2,000/- each.
 
Jockey A. Sandesh (MALAKHI) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2022/23, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
 
After the race, WILD SPIRIT was trotted and found to be sound.
