Racing Incidents

At the start, LION KING (M. S. Deora, dr.1) jumped outwards thereby bumping and taking the ground of MIDAS TOUCH (Amyn Merchant, dr.2) who had to be steadied.
 
At the start, METZINGER (App. N. Bhosale, dr.3) leaned outwards at the same time GIANT KING (Yash Narredu, dr.6) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening ANGELO (P. S. Chouhan, dr.4) and IDEALISTA (Neeraj Rawal, dr.5) drawn between them causing both horses to be checked. After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs. 3,000/-.
 
Approaching the 1500 metres, it was observed that LION KING (M. S. Deora) veered out and in the rider’s effort to control his mount the bit was displaced. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
 
Passing the 300 metres, ANGELO (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in and went across IDEALISTA (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied. Thereafter, ANGELO (P. S. Chouhan) was observed to have maintained an erratic course. After the race, ANGELO was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. The gelding was once again examined at the stables on 15th January 2024 and was found to be sore by right hind, as such, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
