Approaching the 200 metres, SON OF A GUN (App. N. Bhosale) shifted in under the use of the whip and went across CELLINI (Neeraj Rawal) thereby tightening and inconveniencing the latter who had to check and drop back, thereafter, SON OF A GUN further shifted in under urgings thereby tightening and inconveniencing AMAZONIA (Yash Narredu) along the rails who had to be checked.
 
An objection was lodged by Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of CELLINI (Placed 3rd) by the Judge against App. N. Bhosale, the rider of SON OF A GUN (Placed 2nd) by the Judge. The reason being, passing the 300 metres, App. N. Bhosale changed lanes and came across Jockey Neeraj Rawal thereby nearly clipping his heels and could have come down, as such, Jockey Neeraj Rawal had to check his mount and finished 3rd.
 
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing as under:-
 
THE PROTECTOR                -           FIRST;            SON OF A GUN         -           THIRD
CELLINI                                  -           SECOND;       BABY BAZOOKA       -           FOURTH
 
In view of above, App. N. Bhosale has been reported to the Stewards of the Club for careless riding.
 
After the race, THE PROTECTOR was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, BABY BAZOOKA was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.
