Racing Incidents
Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration as regards the name in respect of his charge GUIDED MISSILE. Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of WONDER SMILE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not following the pre-race parade formalities in front of the stands. The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Vivek, the rider of ROYAL AMBASSADOR to the Stewards for improper riding (Rule No.161(i)) on his mount in the above race in that for no apparent reason he shifted out thereby taking out SOUTHERN CHARGE (Wayne Smith) on his outside passing 450 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockeys Vivek and Wayne Smith. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey Vivek from riding in races from 17-6-2008 to 22-6-2008 (both days inclusive) and fine him Rs
