Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of SUNNY EXPRESS, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, the Stewards ordered and held an enquiry immediately after the race into the running of the race with particular reference to the start of the race. They interviewed the official Starter and also the Handler of the horse who held the horse CHIRON (Y.S. Srinath) at the gates. They examined Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of CHIRON, Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of COCKTAIL CIRCUIT and Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of MAGNOMICAL. After repeatedly viewing the CCTV replay of the race and based on the evidence presented during the enquiry by the concerned, they concluded that Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of CHIRON was not on the saddle due to the fractious behaviour of the horse when the start was affected, as a result, the horse jumped out from the gates without the rider and ran riderless. Under the circumstances the Stewards by virtue of the powers conferred under the BTC Rules of Racing, decided to declare CHIRON (Y.S. Srinath) as a non Starter in the above race.
