Racing Incidents

Jockey A. Sandesh replaced the indisposed Suraj Narredu on ARROGANT APPROACH.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of ACE BADRAAN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and tightening ACCLAIMED (R. Vaibhav) and SHIVALIK STAR (J.H. Christopher) which was travelling directly behind had to be checked by its rider to avoid striking the front runner approaching the 600 Metres.

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan and Jockey P. Trevor were questioned regarding the disappointing run of SPEED SIX.  Jockey Trevor said he was able to lead and the horse travelled well until the final 200 Metres when he gave nothing.  Mr. Padmanabhan said that Jockey Trevor had ridden the horse well but did not finish the race off today even though it has won a 1400 Metres. Mr. Padmanabhan could offer no explanation.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from SPEED SIX.
