QUIET FORCE (Sunil Samson) was slowly away and lost few lengths. Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
SAYYONEE (Vishwanath A) and MUSICAL TREASURE (H.G. Rathod) jumped out awkwardly from the starting gates.
Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of VICTORY GIRL, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing MUSICAL TREASURE (H.G. Rathod) and QUIET FORCE (Sunil Samson) which was travelling directly behind had to be steadied by its rider approaching the 800 Metres.
Jockey Vishwanath A, the rider of SAYYONEE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for giving false evidence after the race as regards the start.
Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of QUIET FORCE. The Trainer stated that:
(a) the horse has had a history of veterinary problems;
(b) that the horse was running after a long lay off;
(c) the horse had been working very well and he felt that it could tackle this set with ease in a 6 furlong race.
His explanation was noted. However, the horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Veterinary Officer reported that the horse had burst its blood vessels during the race. Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g QUIET FORCE.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ICECREAM.
