Racing Incidents

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of AUTOMATIC was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing CASEY (S. John) on his outside, passing the 800 Meters.

Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge AUTOMATIC (Suraj Narredu) in the above race. The Trainer stated as follows:

(a) he had instructed the rider to ride from mid field and do his best in the straight.

(b) he felt that this charge lost all its chances at the gates because it jumped slightly slow towards the left.

(c) the rider improved his position from the 1000 Meters gradually and rode out in the straight, as such he had no reservations regarding his riding.

The Jockey, while corroborating with the trainer's explanation felt the horse needed extra distance.

Their explanations were noted.

AUTOMATIC (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained superficial injury on left fore inner bulb.

Surprises sample was taken for analysis from dk b c AUTOMATIC.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f GLITTERING GOLD.
