Racing Incidents

A HEARTTOREMEMBER (Md.Akram) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on left fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr.Warren Singh was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of COSMIC FEELING placed 3rd by the judge objected against Jockey Manish R, the rider of INDUSTRIALIST placed 2nd for " Entering into the straight INDUSTRIALIST came in front of me whereby I had to stop riding, stood up in the saddle for atleast 5 strides due to which my horse rhythm is broken, I picked my horse again and got into stride and as such she has taken time to gallop again whereby I lost a certain 2nd position”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection

INDUSTRIALIST (Manish R) was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
