Racing Incidents

CAVALLINI (Akshay Kumar) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.Irfan Ghatala was informed not to accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey D'nuSingh Deora was questioned regarding the poor performance of OBSIDIAN in the above race. The Jockey stated that he was asked to go to the front or to ride from the second position. He followed the instructions of the trainer but his horse stopped galloping in the final 150 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have burst its blood vessels (On endoscopy Grade - IV & Epiglotic Entrapment). Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
