Racing Incidents

KARANVEER (A.Imran Khan) was subjected to veterinary examination. On examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer, it was found to be lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of EVALDO was questioned regarding his riding in the above race. The Jockey stated that:

a)    He was asked to ride his race and do his best;
b)    However, his mount could only finish a second and in his opinion his mount was good over a trip of 1800 Metres upto 2000 Metres and would find it difficult to stay over a trip of 2400 Metres;
c)    He added once he spurted his mount from 500 Metres, it moved well but started lugging ‘in’ under pressure in the final 200 Metres.

His explanations were noted for future reference.
