Jockey Ravi R., the rider of SUPER GLADIATOR was fined Rs.3,000/- for excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
It was observed that LAGOPUS (A.Imran Khan) pulled up lame approaching
500 Metres, the Jockey having to dismount and not completing the course. On immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer, it was found to have sustained fracture on left hind pastern. Hence, it was euthanized.

An enquiry was held by the Stipendiary Steward on 19/3/2023 into the excessive use of whip by Jockey R.N. Darshan on his mount MUSTERION (3rd infringement) in the above race, thereby contravening the B.T.C. Calendar Notification under the heading “USE OF WHIP”. In that (a) He had used the whip in excess in Race No. 167 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2022-23, on his mount MUSTERION, this being the 3rd offence during the season; (b) He had used the whip in excess in Race No. 109 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2022- 23, on his mount SPIRIT DANCER (1st offence);(c ) He had used the whip in excess in Race No. 150 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2022-23, on his mount STAR ADMIRAL (2nd offence).
The Stipendiary Steward after considering the submissions by Jockey R.N. Darshan and after viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided as follows:
(a)    Should he apply for Jockey’s licence for the year 2023-24 and if he is granted a Jockeys Licence the same shall remain suspended for the first two race meetings of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2023 for contravention of B.T.C. Calendar Notification under the heading “USE OF WHIP” (He is permitted to ride work);
(b)    He was informed of his right to appeal.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m RIGHTLY NOBLE. 
 
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Azhar Ali to deputize on behalf of trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi who was unable to attend the races.
