MEGA SUCCESS (Vivek) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed not to accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

EASTERN SEA (Arul J.H) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed not to accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey Naveen M., the rider of BELLISSIMO was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting 'in' and causing interference to ELITE AGENT (Rajesh Kumar M) on his inside approaching 1200 Metres.

EASTERN SEA (Arul J.H) was subjected to veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have sustained superficial clip injury on right hind fetlock.

Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah and Jockey Arul J.H. were questioned regarding the running and riding of EASTERN SEA in the above race.

The trainer stated that:

a)    His charge had raced for the first time as a 4 year old and had finished 6th in its first start in Race No. 22 of BSM 2023;
b)    He had instructed the jockey to ride his own race and do his best in the straight as he was riding this horse every day during the morning track work;
c)    His charge had lost about 18 kilos from its previous start;
d)    He felt that his charge needs more ground;
e)    He also felt that the top weight was disadvantageous and added that he will claim allowance in its next starts.

Jockey while corroborating the statements of the trainer, added that his mount jumped out slowly, as such he gave his mount a chance and after coming into the straight he rode out but he could only finish 7th .
