Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of THIRD AVENUE reported that his mount was hanging 'in' despite his best efforts, in the process he shifted 'in' and inconvenienced KING'S RANSOM (P. S. Chouhan) on his inside in the final 100 Metres.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey P. S. Chouhan, the rider of KING'S RANSOM to the Stewards for Dangerous Riding [Rule No. 161 (i) of the B.T.C. Rules of Racing] in the above race. In that he shifted ‘in’ sharply under the use of whip, thereby causing severe interference to MOJITO (A. Imran Khan), which in turn passed it onto JAKE (Antony Raj.S) on his inside in the final 200 Metres. Thus, riding in a Dangerous Manner. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and
 
examined the Jockeys concerned P. S. Chouhan (KING'S RANSOM), A.Imran Khan (MOJITO) and Antony Raj. S (JAKE), they viewed the CCTV replay of the race in question from various angles. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey’s licence granted to P. S. Chouhan from 4th July, 2023 to 16th July, 2023 (Both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.25,000/- for Dangerous Riding [Rule No. 161 (i) of the B.T.C. Rules of Racing] on his mount KING'S RANSOM in the above race (he is permitted to ride work) and he was informed of his right to appeal.

KING'S RANSOM (P. S. Chouhan) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Compulsory urine and blood samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:
