Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of TOUCH OF GREY was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming ‘in’ and tightening CHAGALL (P. Trevor) on his inside passing the 250 Metres.

It was reported after the race that CAT WHISKERS (Darshan R.N) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Aravind G. was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Compulsory urine and blood samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:

At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, the Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and enquired into the lead bag coming off from the saddle approaching 900 Metres during the race, whereby the rider weighed ‘in’ 2.5 kgs less in relation to weighing out. The Stewards examined Jockey S. Saqlain, the rider of MAZAL TOV. After detailed deliberations, they decide to disqualify MAZAL TOV which had placed 5th in the above race in accordance with Rule No. 180 of the B.T.C Rules of Racing and the revised order of placings are as under:-

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Neil B. Devaney to the Stewards for the negligence in discharge of his duties pertaining to saddling of his charge MAZAL TOV in the above race. Wherein the lead bag came off from the saddle approaching 900 Metres during the race, whereby the rider weighed ‘in’ 2.5 kgs less in relation to weighing out resulting in the horse been disqualified for the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on 16/12/2023 and interviewed Trainer Mr. Neil B. Devaney, after deliberations, they decided to fine Trainer Mr. Neil B. Devaney a sum of Rs.20,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge MAZAL TOV for Contravention of Rule Nos. 166 (b) and 114 (b) (i) of the B.T.C Rules of Racing.
