Racing Incidents

Jockey A.Ramu, the rider of KALLU SAKKARE was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting 'in' and causing interference to BREEZE BLUSTER (Vivek.G) on his inside approaching 1100 Metres.

Trainer Mr. Warren Singh and Jockey Surya P were questioned regarding the running and riding of SUPER VELOCE.

The trainer stated that:

a) This horse was running for the first time under his charge after it recovered from a setback where it had a problem in the shoulder;
b) He had instructed the jockey to ride from mid bunch and do his best in the straight. He added that Jockey had travelled wide from 1000 Metres till about 500 Metres and thereafter he had ridden out his mount but could only finish 3rd.

The Jockey corroborated the statements of the trainer and their explanations were noted for future reference. However, it was reported after the race that SUPER VELOCE (Surya P.) pulled up lame on left fore as such no action was taken at this instance and Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

SCHAFENBERG (S. Hussain) sustained superficial injury on left hind pastern.
