Racing Incidents

Trainer Mr. Fazal-Ul-Rehman was permitted to saddle EXCELLENT PHOENIX (Tanveer Alam) on behalf of trainer Mr. Akbar Malick at both trainer’s risk and liability.

Apprentice Jockey Azfar Syeed the rider of SUPER SUPREME reported that his mount was inclined to hang out while negotiating the bend.

Trainer Mr. Akbar Malick was questioned on 26-1-19 regarding the inconsistent running of his charge EXCELLENT PHOENIX winner of the race, ridden by jockey Tanveer Alam as compared to Race no.118 run on 15th January 2019(within a gap of 9 days) where it ran last.
 
Trainer stated that he did not have any other distance to run his charge in that class on 15th January and that his horse had won a 7 furlong race last year. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered, the trainer was fined a sum of Rs.10,000/- for inconsistent running of his charge EXCELLENT PHOENIX ridden by jockey Tanveer Alam as his horse had placed 4th in a 5 furlong race and then a 6 furlong race prior to the run on 15th January 2019.
