Racing Incidents
An objection was lodged by Jockey S Amjad Khan the rider of ODE TO NATURE placed second by the Judge Against Jockey Sameer Khan the rider of SHOCKING STAR placed first by the Judge for the alleged interference in that “ for when my horse was making a move from outside he took me and further when I shifted in to make a run SHOCKING STAR shifted in at and around 200 mts from where I had to take mount to change the course to make forward move. After receiving checks twice my mount broke the strides and that cost me a certain race” . The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on their own observation of the race the Stewards could not be satisfied that an alteration to the placings could be justified , therefore they decided to overrule the objection and ordered the security deposit to be refunded.
