Racing Incidents
SULTAN MIRZA (Riazuddin) was observed to be lame on right fore which was examined by the Club’s Veterinary Officer who certified it unfit for racing hence withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Trainer Mr.S.H Abbas was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer. In consequence of SULTAN MIRZA being withdrawn before coming under starters no deduction on win or place was effected. RIOS GIRL (Aqeed Waheed) planted in the starting gates thereby loosing sufficient grounds at the start. In view of its behavior Trainer Mr.Zulfiqar Khan was informed not to accept with his charge untill its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Steward in one mock race on a race day on race track. Jockey R Parvesh the rider of FIRST N IMPRESSION was severely reprimanded for not infusing adequate vigor on his mount in the last 200 mts of the race. Jockey C S Jodha the rider of HAPPYGOLUCKY reported that approaching 700 mts he could not get a clear run due to the crowding of the field. The Stipendiary Steward reported App. Jockey Bhanu Partap Singh to the Stewards in relation to his riding on his mount PERFECT AFFECT. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Trainer Mr.A.Khan and App. Jockey Bhanu Partap Singh and shown the replay of the race. After hearing their statements, considering recommendation of the Stipendiary Steward and relying upon their own observations based on the replay of the CCTV. After deliberations the Stewards decided to :- i) Note the explanation tendered by Trainer Mr.A. Khan in that:- He had issued similar instruction to those issued earlier when successful in his charge’s previous win wherein he had specifically instructed the jockey to lead and do his best on entering the straight. ii) Suspend the Jockey’s Licence granted to App.Jockey Bhanu Partap Singh from riding in races from 24th March,2012 to 3rd April,2012 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding in that he had ridden contrary to the trainers instruction on his mount PERFECT AFFECT in the above race thereby contravening Rule No 161 (ii) of the RWITC Rules of Racing. He was permitted to ride work/not mock race during the period of his suspension and advised of his Right of Appeal. PERFECT AFFECT and DOLTON POWER were impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Vet. Officer reported no apparent abnormality.
