Racing Incidents
At the behest of the Stipendiary Steward the Stewards ordered and held an enquiry immediately after the race into the running of the race and in particular the blindfold which was placed on the KING CHA CHA’s head in the Starting gates was not removed at the time of the start was effected.
 
The Stewards viewed the CCTV replay of the race and taking into the evidence presented during the enquiry by  App. Jockey Danish Ali Khan, the Starter and Handlers, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward, the Stewards were of the opinion that  KING CHA CHA did not get a fair start . Therefore the stewards after deliberation decided as under :- 
 
i) To declare KING CHA CHA as a NON-STARTER under RWITC Rules of Racing 31 (a) 
 
ii) To declare bets with any totalizator pools  and also bets with   bookmakers on KING CHA CHA  “NULL & VOID” under RWITC Rules of Racing 31 (b). 
 
Inconsequence of KING CHA CHA being declared non starter a deduction of 10% on win was effected.
Jockey G S Shekhawat the rider of ASHWA HARBIR reported that his mount was hanging out and finished on the outer portion of the race track. Trainer Mr.R .S. Shekhwat was informed to take remedial measures before accepting with his charge  in a race.
 
The Stewards directed the Stipendiary Steward to hold a detail enquiry into the incident of the handlers failing to remove the blindfold on KING CHA CHA at the start was effected.
