An objection was lodged by Jockey Jai Parkash the rider of ASHWA PARINDA placed third by the Judge against Jockey Ranjeet Singh  the rider  of EL SHARARA placed first by the Judge for “ coming in sharply bumping at about 200 mts  after which my mount lost the rhythm and I could not ride out properly as my mount got totally disbalanced and that cost me a certain race.”

Second objection was lodged by both Trainer Mr.Rajinder and App. Jockey Sandeep Rajput  the rider of SIMPLY DASHING placed fourth by the Judge against Jockey Ranjeet Singh  the rider  of EL SHARARA placed first by the Judge for “ coming in sharply on ASHWA PARINDA who in turn come onto me following a chain reaction caused by EL SHARARA causing a severe check to me/ SIMPLY DASHING at 200 mts due to which  I could not ride out properly and I had to check my mount and that cost me a certain place.” The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed Trainer Mr.Rajinder and the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were satisfied that an alteration to the placings could not be justified and overrule the objections. However, after lengthy deliberations the Stewards decided to disqualify SAHASTRAJIT placed second by the Judge under Rule  160 (i) in conjunction with Rule 159(c) and revised the order of placings as under, and directed Jockey Sameer Khan to be available after the last race to be put up before the Stewards for dangerous riding  violating Rule 161 (i).

Jockey Ranjeet Singh ( EL SHARARA)  and App. Jockey Shafeeq Ahmed (TAKE A CHANCE) reported that due to SAHASTRAJIT (Sameer Khan) moving in sharply passing 300 mts, they got crowded for room on the inside and received a severe interference .

Jockey Sameer Khan the rider of SAHASTRAJIT was reported to the Stewards for moving in sharply passing 300 metres, taking the grounds of EL SHARARA (Ranjeet Singh) who went onto ASHWA PARINDA (Jai Parkash)  in a chain reaction went onto SIMPLY DASHING (Sandeep Rajput) and crowding  TAKE A CHANCE (Shafeeq Ahmed) who received a severe interference.

The Stewards held an enquiry and interviewed App.Jockey Sameer Khan.

After hearing his statements, considering the recommendation of the Stipendiary Steward and their own observation based on the replay of the  CCTV and after due deliberations they decided to suspend  App.Jockey Sameer Khan from riding in races from  4^th February,2013 to 25^th February,2013  (both days inclusive) for dangerous riding thereby contravening  Rule No 161 (i) of RWITC Rules of Racing in conjunction with Rule 159(c). He was permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension and was advised of his right of appeal.
