An objection was lodged by Jockey Ramlal the rider of IMPERIAL ASSAULT placed third by the Judge against Jockey Hashim Ali Khan  the rider of TOP NOTCH  placed first by the Judge for “ coming in when my horse started moving towards leader at 200 mts and coming onto him intentionally to block my way due to that I had to stop the horse from running and that cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were  satisfied that an alteration to the placings could  be justified. Therefore, they decided to uphold the objection and revised the order of placings as under:-

IMPERIAL ASSAULT                 SECOND

TOP NOTCH                               THIRD

FEARLESS BABY                       FOURTH

App.Jockey Hashim Khan the rider of TOP NOTCH  was  fined Rs.3000/- for shifting in and crowding and causing severe interference to IMPERIAL ASSAULT (Ramlal) on the rails approaching 200 mts. The filly was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported no apparent abnormality.

App.Jockey Sikander Ali Khan the rider of BRANDY reported that approaching 800 mts his mount brushed against the rails and nearing 600mts  he observed that his mount was running short and might  be lame, as such he  stopped and dismounted from his mount.  Subsequently, the horse was  impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported BRANDY was lame on Right Hind during the race, Trainer Mr.K Ali Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit.

App.Jockey Shafeeq Ahmed the rider of LITTLE BEBO reported that approaching 800 mts  the saddle used on his mount  slightly shifted onto the right  as such he removed his feet from the stirrups to balance himself and completed the race as such, subsequently after passing the winning post he got dislodged.
