An objection lodged by Jockey K.Sunny Kumar the rider of THE DUKES placed fourth by the Judge against Jockeys R.Parmod (ALL WEATHER GOLD) placed second and Jockey Riazuddin ( CANADIAN GOLD) placed  third  by the Judge for “ on jump out Jockey R Parmod (ALL WEATHER GOLD) cutting across sharply whereby my mount lost its stride and lost position and CANADIAN GOLD (Riazuddin) pocketed my horse at 200 mts and 100 mts whereby I could not ride out which cost me a certain race.”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were satisfied that an alteration to the placings could not be justified. Therefore, they decided to overrule the objection. The Security deposit was refunded.

Jockey Riazuddin the rider of CANADIAN GOLD was called in and questioned about his running erratic in the straight who stated that when he used the whip on the left his mount suddenly moved in inspite of his best efforts after that he changed his whip hand to maintain a straight course was noted. CANADIAN GOLD was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported no apparent abnormality.
