Trainer Sartaj Singh and jockey Gurpreet Singh were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of MINI COOPER, the odds on favourite. Trainer stated that he instructed the jockey to go to the front  and save the filly till the last 200 metres as in the last 3 runs his charge had got tired in the last 50 odd metres and in his opinion would perform better in a 5-1/2 furlong race. The jockey was particularly questioned about his late move at 200 metres who confirmed the instructions and stated that he had done his best as per the instructions being given to him, noted for future reference.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer was requested to examine the filly who reported that MINI COOPER was observed to have burst its blood vessel during the race. As per the calendar notification, RWITC  the horse has been stopped from racing for a stipulated period of 4 weeks (1^st time bleeder) Trainer Mr Sartaj Singh  was informed not to accept with his charge again until passed fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer.

At the request of the Stipendiary Steward urine sample was taken for analysis from MINI COOPER in the presence of Trainer Sartaj Singh and sent for Analytical test.
