An objection was lodged by Jockey K Narender Kumar the rider of  AWESOME placed third by the Judge against Jockey G S Shekhawat  the rider of DANCING BABE   placed first by the Judge for “ coming in sharply taking my ground at about 900 mts due to which I had to check my mount resulting my mount broke its stride and that cost me a certain race.”  

The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were satisfied that an alteration to the placings could not be justified. Therefore, they decided to overrule the objection. The Security deposit was refunded.

Jockey G S Shekhawat the rider of DANCING BABE was reported to the Stewards for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (3^rd offence during the meeting)

The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race  and interviewed  Jockey G S Shekhawat.

After hearing his statements, considering the recommendation of the   Stipendiary  Steward  and relying upon their own observations based on the replay of the Race the Stewards after deliberations decided to suspend  Jockey G S Shekhawat from riding in races from  25^th  April 2014  to 28^th   April,2014 (both days inclusive)  for the excessive use of the whip on his mount DANCING BABE during the race for  the violation of Racing calendar notification under the heading “USE OF WHIPS” in the above race (3^rd offence during the meeting).  He was advised of his right of  appeal and permitted to ride work.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner DANCING BABE in the presence of Trainer Mohsin Khan and was sent for Analytical test.
